There are currently 3 separate (top-level) index entries for operator-- in the "Index of library names". This is because there are three conventions in use for the index keys:

draft/source/time.tex

Line 1404 in e224430

\indexlibrarymember{operator\dcr}{duration}%

draft/source/iterators.tex

Line 5409 in e224430

\indexlibrarymember{operator{-}-}{counted_iterator}%

draft/source/time.tex

Line 2303 in e224430

\indexlibrarymember{operator--}{time_point}%

(\dcr is different from {-}- because \dcris defined as -{-}.)
